Do search engines lie?

I checked my blog referral logs this morning and noticed something of interest in the search terms people used to find this site. I've been chuckling about it all morning.

Go to google and search on the words, I am lazy.

As of right now, I come up at number 1 out of over a million matches with this post from back in July.

If google tells you you're the laziest person in the world does that mean it's true?

I should put that on my business card.

You think that's bad? In a few months you'll be top for "I'm poor" as well - http://lachlan.gemmell.com/2004/08/im-poor-but-doing-ok.html

Good point. Maybe I need to counter all this negative publicity. A few posts along the lines of "I may be lazy but I've got good teeth" and "Yes I'm poor but I'll give you half of all the nothing I have" should improve the image a bit.

It's been fun the past two days though. I've been milking my new title for all it's worth with my friends. I was asked today by someone what my website address was and I told them how to find it by typing I am lazy into Google. The whole thing still makes me chuckle.
